Mark K. Eskandari, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the System Chief and Program Director of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Northwestern Medicine. He is a Professor of Surgery, Radiology, and Medical Education and the first recipient of The James S.T. Yao, M.D., Ph.D. Distinguished Professor of Vascular Surgery endowed chair. Other administrative activities include Associate Director of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI), Co-Director of the Thoracic Aortic Program, Medical Director of the Blood Flow Laboratory at both Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, and as the Medical Director of the Carotid Stenting Program (ICACSF). Dr. Eskandari is also a Founding Member of the Illinois Surgical Quality Improvement Collaborative (ISQIC), served as the Northwestern Department of Surgery ACS-NSQIP Surgeon Champion, and currently is the Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Scientist Training (T-32) grant.
