John Sheehan

John is a graduate of RCSI and qualified as a Radiologist in 2005 . He did fellowships in MRI (Body, Neuro & MSK) & Cardiovascular Imaging in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, 2006-2009 and was appointed Chief of Cardiovascular Imaging, NorthShore University Health System, Chicago in 200John currently practices as a Consultant Radiologist in Blackrock Health (Hermitage & Blackrock Clinic’s) and Mobile Medical Diagnostics. His practice includes Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology with cross sectional interests in cardiovascular, hepato-biliary, prostate, MSK and Colonography.

John is the Clinical Director of Radiology in the Hermitage Clinic, Clinical Director of Mobile Medical Diagnostics and Clinical Advisor to xWave Technologies (xRefer)He has a passionate accumulated knowledge & experience in existing & emerging technologies in radiology & wider healthcare, including cloud, AI and Augmented Reality to help innovate & influence technology policy, by integrating clinical, digital, healthcare providers & industry realms.

John is a member of the Irish Digital Health Leadership Strategy Group (DHLSG) led by Prof. Martin Curley, comprised of leading digital health entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, clinicians, patients, academics & others. The charter of the group is to agree, align and accelerate Ireland’s Digital Health Strategy & Action plan – Stay Left, Shift Left, 10x, enabling Ireland to leapfrog in digital health & overall health maturity. Core of the strategy is that digital technology provides an opportunity to provide 10x innovations or improvements, doing healthcare 10x better, faster, cheaper & increased capacity. The ultimate aim is to make Ireland a European leader in Healthcare by 2025 and Global leader by 2030.

Heron Rodriguez

Heron Rodriguez is a Vascular Surgeon at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of the Universidad Popular Autonoma in Puebla, Mexico and earned board certifications in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery after completing residencies at Columbus Hospital (2001) and Northwestern University (2002), respectively.

Dr. Rodriguez is currently a Professor of Surgery and Radiology at Feinberg School of Medicine and is Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Residency. He practices vascular surgery in Chicago and has developed an extensive academic career nationally and internationally. Dr. Rodriguez has published over 150 manuscripts and chapters, edited several books and directed multiple courses in the US, Spain and Latin America. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, serves in several editorial boards for several vascular journals and is Associate Editor of Annals of Vascular Surgery, President elect of Cirujanos Vasculares de Habla Hispana and an active member of multiple international Vascular Surgery societies.

Dr. Rodriguez has been a mentor to many generations of Vascular Surgeons in the US and Latin America. His current areas of interest include surgical education, the development of leadership skills for young surgeons and international collaboration. He is also a founding member of the board of Directors of Altus Academy in Chicago, a College Preparatory School in the city of Chicago serving underrepresented minorities.

    Peter Naughton

    Mr Peter Naughton is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin and he is a Senior Lecturer with RCSI. He is a graduate of RCSI and completed a one year fellowship in St Mary’s Hospital, London and a 2 year fellowship in Northwestern. He has a number of research interests and he is currently the Dean of Postgraduate education and training in Beaumont hospital.
