Jerome Adams

Dr. Jerome Adams was appointed as a Presidential Fellow and the Executive Director of Purdue’s Health Equity Initiatives on October 1, 2021. He is also a Distinguished Professor of Practice in the departments of Pharmacy Practice and Public Health.

As the 20th U.S. Surgeon General and a prior member of the President’s Coronavirus task force, Dr. Adams has been at the forefront of America’s most pressing health challenges. A regular communicator via tv, radio, and in print, Dr. Adams is an expert not just in the science, but also in communicating the science to the lay public, and making it relevant to various audiences.

Dr. Adams is a licensed anesthesiologist with a master’s degree in public health, and ran the Indiana State Department of Health prior to becoming Surgeon General. In the State Health Commissioner role he managed a $350 million dollar budget and over 1000 employees, and led Indiana’s response to Ebola, Zika, and HIV crises. Notably, Dr. Adams helped convince the Governor and State Legislature to legalize syringe service programs in the state, and to prioritize $13 million in funding to combat infant mortality. As Surgeon General, Dr. Adams was the operational head of the 6000 person Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and oversaw responses to 3 back to back category 5 hurricanes, and to a once in a century pandemic.

Ciara Grant

Ciara is a physician who is part of Ireland’s historical 2023 Women’s World Cup Squad. Hailing from Letterkenny, Ciara played for Donegal GAA in the 2010 All-Ireland Under 18 Ladies Football Championship. While training as a physiotherapist and medical doctor, Ciara played soccer for UCD and Raheny United. On 28th January 20222 Ciara became the first Irish Republic international in 90 years to sign for Glasgow Rangers and she helped Rangers win their first ever Scottish Women’s Premier League title. Subsequently Ciara signed for Hearts and she was named on the SWPL Team of the year 2023. Ciara maintains keen interest and involvement in her medical profession, she was actively involved in frontline efforts during the COVID pandemic.

Dómhnal Slattery

Dómhnal Slattery (56) is the CEO and Chairman of Clahane Capital. He is one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing pioneers and the founding CEO of Avolon. Established in 2010, in what was one of the largest ever globally private equity funded start-ups, today Avolon is a global leader in aircraft leasing with a balance sheet approaching $30bn.

In January 2022, Dómhnal was appointed Chairman of Vertical Aerospace, a company that is revolutionising urban air mobility and electrifying air travel through the certification of zero-emissions aircraft. Vertical Aerospace is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

In July 2022, Dómhnal announced that he was stepping down as chief executive of Avolon to pursue a range of other interests in a non-executive capacity. In September 2022 Dómhnal established Clahane Capital and it is through this platform he is now dedicating his time and energy to reaching a net-zero world by working with investors, founders and strategic stakeholders to identify and back companies that can bring solutions to combat the world’s greatest climate-driven challenges.

In November 2022, Dómhnal was appointed as special adviser to Dubai-based agritech business Pure Harvest Smart Farms where he was also an early investor.In April 2023, Dómhnal joined the Advisory Board of SpinLaunch in April 2023 following his investment in its successful B round. SpinLaunch was named by TIME magazine as “One of the 100 Most Influential Companies in 2022”

The businesses established and built by Dómhnal Slattery, have, for more than 30 years, raised and deployed over US$75 billion of debt and equity capital to finance aircraft for airlines and aircraft investors around the world. A central tenet of each of the three businesses has been a focus on risk assessment and oversight. This approach is most evident in the proprietary risk-management procedures in place at Avolon and which form the basis for many research-led papers which Avolon has produced since its inception. These papers include yearly industry outlooks; analysis and assessment of risks relating to: the supply/demand balance within the aviation industry; the impact of shortening-life spans and early retirement of commercial aircraft; the switch to new technology aircraft and the impact on asset values; global sleet forecasts; and, the outlook for, and growth potential of, the Chinese and Indian aviation markets.

Brian O’Driscoll

Brian O’Driscoll (born 21 January 1979) is a former Irish professional Rugby Union player. During his 15 year career, he captained Leinster, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions. He played 141 test matches – 133 for Ireland (83 as captain), and 8 for the British and Irish Lions. O’Driscoll holds the Six Nations record for most tries scored with 26 and was also chosen as Player of the Tournament in the 2006, 2007 and 2009 Six Nations Championships.

Since retiring from International Rugby in 2014, Brian works in a number of different capacities both in Sport and in the Business world. A prolific professional public speaker, Brian delivers bespoke talks to Corporations around the Globe. Each talk is unique to the client ensuring the key messaging mirror the objectives set out by them.

Brian Rattigan

Dr. Brian Ratigan is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in sports medicine with an interest in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. He is the Director of Orthopaedic Care for Notre Dame Athletics and specifically the head Orthopaedic physician for football, men and women basketball, men and women soccer, track, and baseball. Dr. Ratigan’s specialized procedures include shoulder arthroscopies, rotator cuff and labral repairs, total and reverse total shoulder arthroplasties, knee arthroscopies, ACL reconstructions, MPFL reconstructions, robotic assist (MAKO) total knee replacements, partial knee replacements, PRP injections, and cartilage restoration procedures in the knee.

• Dr. Ratigan earned his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2002. In 2007, he completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery with The Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed fellowship training in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.

• Growing up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dr. Ratigan had a successful high school career in athletics where he earned all-state honors in football, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He was the Iowa Football Gatorade Player of the Year. He earned a scholarship to play football for Coach Lou Holtz at the University of Notre Dame where he was a four-year monogram winner and linebacker at the University of Notre Dame (1989-1992). After graduation, he pursued his professional football career with the Indianapolis Colts (1993-1995).

• Dr. Ratigan currently resides in Granger with his wife, Maura, who is also a Notre Dame graduate (BA ‘93, JD ‘96). They have five children: Sean (ND ‘21), Conor (ND ‘23), Kelly, Austin, and Reese. In his free time, Dr. Ratigan enjoys coaching sports, cheering on his children in their activities, attending Notre Dame sporting events, and spending time with relatives in Iowa and Philadelphia.

Jack Chambers

Jack Chambers is the Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin West. He is the Government Chief Whip and is also Minister of State at the Department of Transport and the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. He was elected to Dáil Éireann on his first attempt in the February 2016 General Election and was re-elected in the 2020 General Election. Before entering the Dáil, he served as a Fingal County Councillor and as Deputy Mayor for the region. He previously served as Fianna Fáil frontbench spokesperson for Defence and for Communications, Climate Action and Environment as well as spokesperson on the National Drugs Strategy. Born in Galway, Jack moved to Dublin West at a young age and is actively involved with a range of local community groups and sports organisations. He is a Medical Doctor having studied Medicine at the RCSI and he holds an honours degree in Law & Political Science from Trinity College.

Matt Cooper

Matt Cooper is a Radio and TV Broadcaster, Newspaper Columnist and a Best-Selling Author. Matt presents and edits the daily news, current affairs and sports programme, ‘The Last Word’ on Today FM from Monday to Friday, 4.30pm to 7pm. He previously presented ‘The Tonight Show’ on Virgin Media One. He writes a weekly newspaper column for The Irish Daily Mail that is published each Wednesday and The Last Post column on the back page of the Business Post each Sunday.

Matt has a long-standing interest in business, going back to his time as Business Editor of the Irish Independent. He has written two major business biographies, both of which were short-listed for Irish Non-Fiction Book of the Year: ‘The Maximalist, the story of Tony O’Reilly’ (2015) and ‘Michael O’Leary, turbulent times for the man who made Ryanair’ (2018). The latter was Financial Times book of the month in September 2018. He was also author of the number one bestseller ‘Who Really Runs Ireland’ (2009) and ‘How Ireland Really Went Bust’ (2011), both of which were also short-listed for Irish Non-Fiction Book of the Year.

Matt is a former editor of The Sunday Tribune, having been appointed at the age of 30 in 1996. He left for a career in radio in 2003. He was twice national journalist of the year and twice business journalist of the year. He co-produced and presented acclaimed Olympics documentary ‘No Earthly King’ in 2012, and ‘Ireland’s Brexit Dilemma’ and ‘Trump versus Ireland’ for TV3 in 2016 and 2017.

Matt was lead presenter of the TV coverage of the 2007 and 2015 Rugby World Cups with TV3. He spent six years as anchor of TV3’s GAA coverage when the station hosted live championship matches. He regularly hosts live sports theatre events, having performed on stage interview nights with the likes of Roy Keane, Martin O’Neill and Joe Schmidt and has hosted major testimonial nights for the likes of Mick O’Dwyer and Colm Cooper. He was also chosen by former rugby international Jamie Heaslip to write his post-career memoir, which was published in 2019 and was short-listed for Irish Sports Book of the Year.He was the narrator on the British made documentary ‘Dennis Rodman’s Big Bang in Pyongyang’ after he accompanied the controversial American basketball superstar to North Korea in early 2014. Matt Cooper is a regular host, chairman and speaker at business conferences and events.
