Throughout the past 25 years, I have been fortunate to hold numerous leadership roles at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine including in the Department of Medicine, the medical school and health system.  I am currently the Chief Medical Officer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  In research, I have published in the areas of clinical skills assessment, standard setting and improving quality of care through medical education.  I was the Co-Editor of a 2020 textbook on Mastery Learning in the Health Professions entirely written by Northwestern faculty.  In addition to medical education, I am also interested in structured clinical programs to improve diversity, equity and inclusion throughout healthcare.
